Hello out there in Bloglandia, I have been orchestrating a good spring cleaning in my studio and home. The clutter was killing me. I am the sort of person that hates clutter but also hates waste and sending things to the landfills if they can be re-used, re-purposed, or donated. Because of this I must sort through every little thing. Every shred of paper and tiny little bits of this and that, who's its and whats its, and whatchamacallits too. This is exhausting and terribly time consuming. If I were not such a procrastinator about it I would perform this task on a regular basis rather that quarterly.
As I was saying before, the clutter was killing me. So, I am spending my weekend sifting, sorting, purging, and organizing. My recycle bin will be full by sundown for sure. I have a stack of old catalogs about a foot high that has to go, plus boxes of magazines, ephemera, and maybe even some important documents and pictures, which is exactly why I must go through each box, stack, and shred of paper to make sure that I don't throw out something important or special. I once found a birth certificate in one of these boxes of papers. Last night I found my favorite picture of myself and my sister being really goofy when we were kids. A precious treasure that I could never recover and would not want to lose.
I'll be back after I dig myself out from under this pile of rubble!

Haley, I didn't know where to start. I have been traveling and working full time. I just had let it become the dumping grounds. I can't stand a cluttered mess. The rest of my house is usually pretty neat but I shove it all into the extra rooms to keep the public areas live-able and presentable. Next I am moving out the the workshop. A 10' X 20' mini barn that is shared with my husband. It's where the messy work gets done. Metal, wood, drilling, sanding, painting and dyeing, etc. I have a whole bunch of crap that just needs to go from in there too. I'll post pic's on that project too. It will take more than a weekend for that clean up job. Wish me luck! Oh and post some pic's of your clean up job too!
