Forgotten Flowers

How many young women have to die?

How many mothers have to cry?

While those in charge turn a blind eye

At the blood and the violence,

the lives lost and the hate,

how many more hearts

will stop beating as we wait?

There is a garden full of nameless,

forgotten flowers

that have been hastily plucked and pushed aside,

leaving not a trace of their warmth, their beauty, their stolen grace.

Over this garden the sun rises and falls

And in the still moonlight the forgotten flowers whisper their calls;

"Don't forget us", "Remember me"," Please"

aDRESSing The Issue Canvas 1 in progress

Mixing and conditioning the clay and creating color palette.  Brown clay and scrap clay 50/50 makes the best bark and dirt colored clay.  Use old dry clay for the flaky effect.

Sketch it out.

Lay it out.

Refine the design, add texture, adjust elements for scale and style.

I really have been creating! Here are a few pic's to prove it......

Here are some of the clay covered mirrors I've been working on.   

Clayville California hosted some workshops with Shirley Rufener.  I took the night light workshop.  I plan on making more.  I just need to find a good source for the light fixtures.

I have been knee deep in Spring cleaning all weekend and I have the pictures to prove it!
