ADO Wonderland Blog event....

Whew!  OK so, I actually did it.  I completed my project start to finish in 2 hours, concept to completion.  

Now, this is not my best work, nor my worst.  I just didn't want to fall out.  Family illness has consumed my life for the past two months and I have not had a moment in the studio.  I was determined to create something, anything for this challenge even though I was not able to start my project until 11 PM and I must get up at 6 am to go to work. 

I will do a bit more refining later but I was challenging myself to embrace "Guerrilla Sculpting" and just do it already!

I am trying to figure out how I will meet this challenge on so little time.

Tonight is the night! After work I will shop for our weekend camping trip, pack it all up, do some meal prep, freeze it up, and then (it will probably be midnight) I can create my ADO Wonderland doll. It will be curious, that's for sure! and probably a bit mad to boot!

It's a good thing that I like a good challenge and I do most of my design work in the cerebral stage!

Polypalooza IV 2010

Despite the beautiful view and awesome demo line-up, I actually got some projects completed at Polypalooza this year.

I completed one bicycle chain bracelet and started on a second one.  I sketched this project out in my design book years ago.  I'll scan the page and post it.  I plan on tweaking the design a bit and making more colorful versions.  I have been wearing it to test the comfort and wear-ability,  I really like it!  I'll post more as I make them.

 

 

I made a worry doll light switch plate for the TV room.  Not the best picture I know.  I'll try to get some better shots later.  These worry dolls have been bouncing around in my head for about a decade.  It was finally time to let them out.  I plan on teaching this project at next months guild meeting.
