Polypalooza IV 2010, Zephyr Point Presbyterian Center in picturesque Lake Tahoe Nevada
The view from my room
Despite the beautiful view and awesome demo line-up, I actually got some projects completed at Polypalooza this year.
I completed one bicycle chain bracelet and started on a second one. I sketched this project out in my design book years ago. I'll scan the page and post it. I plan on tweaking the design a bit and making more colorful versions. I have been wearing it to test the comfort and wear-ability, I really like it! I'll post more as I make them.
I made a worry doll light switch plate for the TV room. Not the best picture I know. I'll try to get some better shots later. These worry dolls have been bouncing around in my head for about a decade. It was finally time to let them out. I plan on teaching this project at next months guild meeting.
Bumbalina came along too. You can see pic's and flicks, of her retreat adventures on her blog here:

What an awesome design that bracelet is! I work with polymer too, and wonder if I could borrow your design, perhaps modified to be smaller like a motorcycle chain...if so I would be glad to credit you if you let me know how you would like the credit. If not that is cool too, just don't want to steal your idea, that's not cool :)

Hi Sue!
Thank you so much for your compliments on my Bike Chain Bracelet. I am flattered very much by all of the attention it's getting.
How refreshing to actually be asked if you can use this design to make one of your own. I really appreciate the respect that you have for my work.
So, here's how I see it. Although, to the best of my knowledge I am the only person creating bike chains in polymer, I didn't exactly "invent" bicycle chains. So, if you would like to make your own
modified version I would not object. I would loved to see what you come up with.
I agree that this first prototype is a bit large. The one I am working on now is 1/2 the size. I have no idea what a motorcycle chain looks like but I have a few variations in the works myself.
I also am planning on teaching this in several workshops so the credit and recognition for inspiring your version would be greatly appreciated!
Enjoy! Peace out!
