The best thing about growing fruit trees is being able to pick the fruit and eat it right off of the tree. Today I picked and ate two blood oranges and had the juice of a Meyer Lemon in my water.
This is my Blood Orange, Juicy, sweet, and deep, burgundy-red. It was so good That I had to have another. This little tree isn't very productive and for many years it was completely barren but with a little patience and care it has really taken off! I have always loved it, even without the fruit. Now that it produces these juicy sweet jewels I am totally in love!
Sweet and sour, jewel toned, citrus fruit side by side in a dish. They left their Zingy scent on my hands all day.
Yum!!
