Sculpting a head in polymer, face painting, applying hair, costuming and decorating
Create your own marotte, stick puppet in a single day!
We will cover polymer clay basics, conditioning the clay, mixing colors, sculpting in the facial features, creating a character with expression, creating a life-like skin tone with paint, applying hair, costuming and final details to complete your character's personality.
This is an adult level workshop. Children 12 years and up are welcome if their maturity level will allow them to work independently. All experience levels are welcome.
Most supplies are included. Each participant will need to bring their own sculpting tools (some will be available to share. This need not be a great expense simple tools such as tooth picks, orange sticks, manicure, dental tools, nut picks, and my favorite- knitting needles. Although I own a collection of fancy tools I still pull out the knitting needles with every sculpt!) and any special embellishments, fabric, trim, hair, to personalize their marotte character.
