This 12x12 polymer illustration on canvas piece was created for a contest.  The theme was Fiesta, There were prize categories for most these based, most California, and most child care resource and referral related.

Vox Sacramento will be hosting a Polymer Art Exhibit

For the month of August, Vox Sacramento will be hosting a Polymer Art Exhibit

Where: Vox Sacramento, 1818 11th Street, Sacramento CA
When: Saturday, August 11th, 4-9 p.m.

Clayville California and other polymer artists will be showcasing the diversity of one of the art world's newest mediums. Featuring sculpture, jewelry, vessels, masks, and functional art objects. Artists include: Adriana Ayala of ClayCatShop, LaLa Ortiz, Mary Fassler, Jacqueline Dodd, Michael J. Marx, Amy Fort, Marie Segal, Jennifer Young, Mary Lu Ellliott, Rachel Young, Yoli Rodriguez Manzo, Anita Sterling Winthrop

Vox Sacramento is also proud to present a solo photography exhibit "Memories of Betrayal" by local photographer Andy Brooks. All the images in this exhibit were shot in April 2012.

These exhibits will be up from August 11th through September 3rd.

Mexican Fiesta Ballet Folklorico

Hand Sculpted polymer clay on canvas. This mixed-media on canvas project was made as a competition piece for the Annual R&R Conference. The contest is based on creative presentation (for the gift card) and best depiction of the theme California, R&R Fiesta.

 This piece is made with polymer clay (Fimo soft generously donated by Staedtler Fimo for Clayville California's 5th annual art retreat- Thank you Staedtler Fimo!), acrylic paint, Pearl-ex powders, paper print out, E-6000 glue, and Uhu glue stick on stretched, cotton canvas.
